I like going to the movie theaters. I love it!
I like the smell of the popcorn, I love seeing the trailers of new movies coming out, or on occasion ripping ones that look stupid, it can't be helped sometimes you have to do it.
But seeing the movie I paid to see is the real treat, especially if it's a move I have been wanting and waiting to see, it's always a fun time. It's great to see a movie with an audience everyone reacting the same, whether it's with laughter, or cheers, or screams, or in tense scenes where everyone is holding their breath. No matter what you can't really duplicate that feeling at home, no matter how big your TV is those reactions aren't there. I remember the fun it was to see Marvel's Avengers in a sold out theater and how everyone last their shit during the last battle and how Hulk just whooped Loki. Still thinking about it makes me smile, and oh look at all the movies coming out this year that I hope make me smile like that again.
It's that thought of having an awesome time in the theater that that makes me excited for all the movies coming out this year. In some ways it's just too much to think about, to much to do but again at the same time its so cool. Think about this in the same year we get Avengers Age of Ultron which looks so damn sweet, we also get freaking Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens!!! Not to mention all of these movies:
Jurassic World
Mad Max: Fury Road
Tomorrowland
Inside Out
Terminator: Genisys
Ant-Man
The Hateful Eight
Minions
Chappie
And there is a whole a lot more I could mention but that tiny list there is a lot for me at least in a year.
I will be honest though about 2 of these movies that I am a bit apprehensive about; Jurassic World and Terminator: Genisys and if I were to pick one that wouldn't do well it would be Terminator. Don't know what they are doing making an idiotic paradox filled plot but I'll leave them to it and see what happens. Jurassic World, well one word: Raptor Tamer, that is a childhood dream of mine right there and Christ Pratt is stealing it from me! But I still love Star Lord.
There is always a nagging feeling with me that some of the other movies won't be good. It would suck so much if for whatever reason Avengers wasn't good, I doubt it but wouldn't that just be weird? I am trying to avoid thinking that and watching the trailers to all these movies 1,000 times and getting to hyped up for them. I want some ignorance going into the theater with my friends and just let the movie(s) surprise me as I watch them for the first time. I'm sure a few of these will be good and maybe 1 or 2 will be mind blowingly awesome!
It is indeed a big year for movies and I can't wait to go to the theater! :D
